OVERVIEW

The book of Genesis introduces the reader to a series of beginnings: The beginning of the world, humans, animals and God’s promises.

The book of Genesis also discusses how the Earth was lifeless, empty and dark. There was nothing. The Bible specifically states that the Earth was without form and void; and then God spoke:

LET. THERE. BE.
